Project objective is investigate and highlight the advantages, disadvantages and solutions for manufacturers of air conditioners, with reference to the circular economy document by EU Commission. In particular, the project has identified several strategies and opportunities that the Ecoped Consortium and the companies of air conditioning sector, can pursue to be more competitive.
In particular, the following aspects were evaluated:
– purchase a product, purchase a service; pay-per-use and sharing economy.
– Reuse and maintenance, durability and reparability of product.
– Measuring the circularity of air conditioner to quantify the resources used.
– Pursue ecodesign actions.
The project was promoted by Ecoped and developed by Marco Capellini sustainable design & consulting.
