USE OF RECYCLED RUBBER FROM ELT: INTERVIEW WITH MARCO CAPELLINI

Architect Marco Capellini talks about his approach to sustainability and circular economy, presenting to Plast magazine, new composite materials made from recycled rubber, thanks to a collaboration with Ecopneus.
Starting from the intrinsic potential of the material and its performance characteristics, the challenge is to develop new materials solutions could be a suggestions to the world of business and design.
The ennoblement of these semi-finished products was articulated through the coupling of rubber rolls with other types of materials such as wood, felt and fabrics, and realization of material mix between recycled rubber granule with other materials such as moss, straw and cork.
The new materials are present in the “First Italian Catalogue of Products Made from Recycled Rubber“. They are distinguished by greater aesthetics, functionality, technical characteristics and possibility of customization.
